How VFX Made Westeros in Game of Thrones Season 4

If you haven’t seen Game of Thrones Season 4, don’t worry, this won’t spoil it for you, but it will surprise you.  Visual Effects have always had a big impact in movies and TV shows, but it’s surprising how much is used in this past season of Game of Thrones.  Watching the episodes when they aired, I didn’t know the scenes were VFX.   It looked that real.

Check out this five minute video which shows the original scenes then the scenes as parts of visual effects are added and rendered.  It shows every scene that uses VFX.
